The Vagabond Heart
Title: The Vagabond Heart
Genre{s}: Historical-paranormal-drama-romance
Running time: {estimate} 120 minutes
Budget: Low to minimum
Synopsis:
A beautiful young French woman named Jolie Marie loves her new life in
old Vincennes, and even has a handsome young suitor ready to ask for her hand in
marriage.
As she walks along the banks of the Wabash river one night, her news
suitor shows up, but not to ask her for her hand in marriage, but to inflict her
with the curse of the Loup Garou; by day she seems human, but at night, she
takes the form of a beautiful white wolf, quenching her thirst for blood by
attacking the local wildlife and livestock.
Her suitor disappears not too long afterward, in fear of being sought out
and killed by her father.
Fast forward two hundred years; Jolie Marie’s curse – which should have
ended within 101 days – is still with her, and she hasn’t aged a day in all
these years. She now owns a local specialty book store, which focuses primarily
on local history and folklore. One day, a handsome young man who bears an
uncanny resemblance to her suitor of two hundred years ago, walks into her store
– for the purpose of ordering a book on local old Vincennes history.
She takes his name and order, primarily for the purpose of making sure he
returns, then does an internet search on his name. She uncovers compelling
evidence that tells her he may very well be the same man who afflicted her with
the curse over two hundred years ago. Unbeknownst to her, he intends to bleed
her again, in order to stay immortal forever – even if it means she will die.
Central character list:
Jolie Marie LaForte– A young French settler’s
daughter who is bitten by the Loup Garou – a werewolf – and cursed to walk the
night as a lycanthrope for all eternity –unless she can find the man responsible
for the curse.
Andre Dubois/Andrew Dupree – A handsome young man
– who is secretly a werewolf – who inflicts Jolie Marie with the curse of
immortality – and returns two centuries later to find her, still captivated by
her unearthly beauty and wanting to draw blood from her, in order to stay
immortal as well, because his bloodline is running
out.

Sunsets and Stone
Basic information:
Title: Sunsets and Stone
Tagline/pitch statement: “Your own inner demons may be the most frightening.”
Genre: drama/suspense-thriller
Running time: 80 minutes
Budget: Low to minimum
Sunsets and Stone / synopsis:
In a small town in Wisconsin, a killer is stalking young women who have a history of being promiscuous, and stoning them to death, the most common penalty for infidelity as described in the Bible. A former FBI agent, Ray Stone, and his fiancé, Katherine Morris, have been running away from their past by retiring in a small cabin outside of town, but their escape from the darker side of humanity is short-lived thanks to the local Sheriff asking for their help in catching the killer.
As the murders continue without a clue as to the killer’s identity, Frank slowly but surely feels his own dark side emerging again, and will do almost anything to find and kill the man responsible, because he thinks it will help him redeem himself for not catching his own daughter’s killer. Meanwhile, Katherine struggles with her own inner demons too, and it almost ends their relationship. Soon, though, as the end of the first episode draws near, Frank and Katherine don’t find satisfaction or redemption, but instead see just how dark all of us can be if provoked too far.
Sunsets and Stone Central Character List:
Ray Stone
A former FBI agent who retired after the death of his own daughter at the hands of a killer Ray never captured. He seems laid back and happy on the surface, but underneath the façade he is miserable, and seeking a way to redeem himself for not capturing his daughter’s killer.
Katherine Morris
Ray’s fiancé and best friend, who, like him, lost her only daughter to a killer that was never captured. They not only share that common bond, but others as well, including an uncanny ability to know what the other is thinking. Deep down, she is a strong person just like Ray, but suffers from her guilt over feeling as though she wasn’t there when her daughter needed her, and feels responsible for her death.
Sheriff Carter
The town Sheriff, who seems tough but fair, but also exudes an air of danger about him, like he could explode at any moment. He enlists the help of Ray and Katherine to help him catch a killer who is terrorizing his town. He is smart, but needs help creating a profile for the killer so he can catch him.
Angela Worden
The town newspaper reporter who ends up almost screwing up the investigation by printing a piece in the local paper describing how the women were killed in graphic detail, and creating a town panic. She has a personal vendetta against the killer, because one of the victims was her niece. She’ll stop at nothing to get a big story out of it, and ends up paying the ultimate price.
The Corliss Tapes
Basic information:
Title: The Corliss Tapes
Tagline/pitch statement: “Welcome home, Jack.”
Genre: science fiction
Running time: 90 minutes
Budget: low to minimum
The Corliss Tapes: synopsis:
In a remote jungle, a team of scientists are observing and studying a large metallic disc that has landed in the jungle, that the normally atheist locals believe proves the existence of God. In his search for personal redemption, one of the team members passes through a portal in the disc he hopes will bring him face to face with his creator.
What he finds on the other side instead is a time portal that sends him back to 1890’s Texas, where he is blamed for the death of a local prostitute – who was actually killed by a time-jumping serial killer that resembles Jack the Ripper.
He later realizes that he has been chosen to be a sort of time-traveling secret agent who will earn redemption by traveling back and forth in time to help the sick and dying, the wrongly accused, wayward youths, and those who have lost touch with their personal faith in God. What he doesn’t expect is being drawn into a side of humanity so deep and dark – and at times even supernatural.
Central characters:
Jack “Harris” Corliss – Two scientists who have been experimenting with time travel and out-of-body traveling have intercepted Jack in a time warp, and have been experimenting on his brain, not only to help him seek redemption for his past, but to groom him as a sort of a time-traveling hero for those in need.
The nameless doctors – The two scientists who are holding Jack in a place called the Future Clinic, their own private underground laboratory. They are very secretive – won’t even divulge their names to Jack – and very eccentric as well, believing that by changing the past, they can prevent everything from the Jack the Ripper killings to the JFK assassination, and beyond. However, as time goes on, they realize their experiments are more dangerous than they’d anticipated.
Recurring characters:
Carol Knarr – Harris’ former assistant and the woman he was in love with, but never told her about his feelings until it was too late. She secretly loved Harris too, still hopes to find him, bring him back with the help of her other team member, Milo Green.
Milo Green – The third team member of the expedition into the remote jungle where Harris disappeared. Milo harbors a secret love for Carol, too, and secretly doesn’t want to pursue finding Harris. His self-centeredness and disregard for another person’s life will eventually be his downfall.

The Mind of Luther Biggs
Basic information:
Title: The Mind of Luther Biggs
Tagline/pitch statement: “Sometimes, your past does catch up with you.”
Genre: Paranormal/drama/science fiction
Running time: 80 minutes
Budget: Low to minimum
The Mind of Luther Biggs / synopsis:
A mildly retarded young man named Luther Biggs has an uncanny ability to communicate with animals – and the dead. He is constantly haunted by the memory – and spirit? – of his deceased father, a murderous pedophile who kidnapped and killed some of the local youths many years ago.
Luther Biggs was born in Pearl City, Indiana, a small, run down community of ramshackle houses and derelict trailers nestled in between the town levee and the White River basin. His mother, Lula, a known alcoholic and local prostitute, had once sold Luther in exchange for a carton of cigarettes and a half gallon of whiskey. The woman who’d purchased Luther had brought him back within two days claiming he wasn’t even smart enough to pull a plow or bait a fish hook, and demanded her payment back.
A heated argument had ensued, and after the dust had cleared, Lula was lying in the dirt with a large kitchen knife buried in her chest. The woman who stabbed her, Twyla Gibbins, had been charged with murder and sentenced to life imprisonment. But her sentence would be mild compared to what awaited Luther at the hands of his father.
Luther Biggs senior, a tall, powerfully built man with arms like ten pound hams and the strength of an ox, was also prone to long alcoholic binges as well as bouts of extreme physical violence. His son, Luther junior, was born breached, his tiny brain having been deprived of oxygen for over three minutes, he had been born with mild retardation and a lazy eye, and would later barely pass an IQ test with a score of 65. But his birth defects would prove to be the least of his worries after his mother’s death.
One day, while nine year old Luther was playing with a set of toy soldiers his grandmother had given for Christmas, his father walked in to see the living room floor strewn with toys and candy wrappers, and had gone into a fit of rage that left Luther with a broken arm, a skull fracture, two missing teeth, and a black eye.
A neighbor, having heard Luther’s screams and cries for help, had summoned the local police to the scene, and upon their arrival, had found Luther’s father dangling him by the ankles out of a second story window, threatening to drop him on his head on the concrete driveway below if they didn’t leave his property immediately. A two hour Mexican stand-off had ensued, with Luther senior ending up with a sniper’s bullet in his left temporal lobe, and Luther junior landing safely on a large net down below, into the arms of a social worker who worked for the city.
Now a grown man and happy with his life – and his foster mother, Miss Miriam – he has a job as a cage cleaner at the local animal shelter, and life couldn’t be better.
That is, until he begins hearing unearthly voices – his father’s voice – and seeing things that aren’t really there. At first, the locals think Luther is slowly but surely losing his mind, but soon realize they have had a local, defacto-hero in their midst all along.
Lead characters:
Luther Biggs – A mildly retarded young man with the power to communicate with animals – and the dead. He will become the town’s local hero before long.
Miss Miriam – Luther’s foster mother and legal guardian, whose love and devotion to Luther have help shape who he is today.
Frank Blackwell – A retired FBI profiler who assists the local Sheriff solve some of the bizarre cases – along with Luther’s help.
Kat – Frank’s fiancé. She is devoted to their relationship, but begins feeling threatened by Frank’s involvement in helping the Sheriff solve the crimes.
Ben Stryker – The town Sheriff who recruits Frank’s help in solving the crimes. Tough but fair, his bark is worse than his bite – most of the time.
Recurring characters:
Brandt Ellis – An evil flesh trader who’s so intent on discovering the secret of his own wanderlust for the exotic, he begins experimenting with human-cat DNA hybrids, and produces a race of humanoids who’s own lust – for blood – gets out of control.
Jack Kirkendall – The town coroner and friend of Ben Stryker’s. Although he doesn’t have all of the most updated morgue equipment to work with, he manages to do an admirable job of determining the cause of death.
Jenny – Luther’s girlfriend, who loves and accepts him for who he is, until an unexpected tragedy strikes their relationship.
